The exhibition is envisioned as the first in a series aimed at expanding the conversation around the (un)built environment through various mediums of drawings. It is a platform of visual evidence of our collective voices, celebrating spaces unseen, spaces of experiment, and spaces of materiality.
Co-founded by Nada Alobaidi (nalobaidi.com) and SUSA, the initiative aims to create a place to share evocative visuals, connect with fellow creatives, cultivate a community, and establish a repository of imagery emerging from and therefore influencing the city. At the core of its conception is the idea of self-organization and independence from institutio ns. Through this open call, it aims to include diverse authors, mediums, and themes, ensuring broad repr esentation and dissemination of creative works.
Beyond its cultural and intellectual aspirations, Uninhabited aims to liberate both students and prof essionals creative ideas and for them to benefit financially from their artistic endeavors. Each artwork showcased during the exhibition will be available for purchase, with all proceeds directly supporting the creators.
